Bio & Background

Andrew is the founder of Advisor Garage. Andrew Ive has a passion for entrepreneurialism and small business. Most recently Andrew served on the Board of the Small Business Council of the Department of Trade and Industry which advised the Government of the United Kingdom on entrepreneurial matters. Andrew also has a product he created in the permanent exhibition of New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

As the CEO/founder of three companies in the United States and the United Kingdom, Andrew has developed a deep appreciation for the challenges and joy of being an entrepreneur. His first company X-IT Products was named one of United States ‘Top 10 Start-ups in 1999′ by a top Entrepreneurial magazine. X-IT also won a ‘Business Week’ product design award for its first product sold through the retail channel. Andrew and X-IT Products were involved in a legal case involving the infringement of intellectual property which resulted in the largest corporate award in Virginia State history.

Andrew then began a data management company in Silicon Valley. While CEO, Andrew worked with the investor and venture capital community raising $21M of capital for his company, negotiating partnerships and establishing customer relationships. Andrew has also helped a number of entrepreneurs at the early stages such as the Blazent Founders (real time IT intelligence), PocketThis and others.

A graduate of the Harvard Business School and previously experience at Siebel Systems (USA), Procter & Gamble (Europe) Ltd., and IBM (World Trade Asia). Andrew is focused on building businesses, often from the early stages.

Andrew is interested in active participation and advising early stage companies and related entrepreneurial matters.
